Headstand and Shoulderstand (Sirsasana and Sarvangasana) are often called the King and Queen poses of Yoga. For the beginner and even the intermediate practitioner, these poses have significant boundaries that make them difficult to practice safely. However, if practiced with awareness and ease, these poses can elucidate the inner forms of yoga to the practitioner, guiding them back to stillness of mind and body. Beginners welcome with safe options provided for all levels.
Sun Salutations (Surya Namaskar) form another core aspect of a Hatha-vinyasa yoga practice. An ancient sequence of movements that when practiced properly, sets the tone for your entire practice and informs the movements in each posture that follows. In this workshop we will explore and build your practice of Surya Namaskar, Sirsasana and Sarvangasana, building the strength and awareness to practice each safely and with their original intention: to free preconditioned patterns of mind and body.
