Oliver came across yoga whilst teaching English at a Tibetan monestary in Northern India in 2011. Since then his interest in yoga and its philosophical heritage has spawned a desire to delve into what it means to really ‘practice’ yoga. He sees Yoga as a broad stream of wisdom that when tapped into leads the practitoner back to there basic nature – one of clarity, contentment, and peace.
A practitioner of Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga since 2012, Oliver undertook his 200hr teacher training course under renowned Ashtanga teachers Monica Gauci and Gregor Maehle in 2015. He is also part way through his physiotherapy degree at James Cook University, aiming to integrate his studies with yoga teaching to lead safe, anatomically aware classes.
Oliver teaches a flowing yoga style anchored in calm, conscious breathing, aimed to help you leave feeling lighter and stronger.
